Dog died after lead trapped in train doors at station, service halted for nearly an hour

Metro service between Florenc and Černý Most was suspended for nearly an hour on Sunday afternoon after an accident near Rajská Zahrada station. A dog on a leash was caught outside a departing train while its owner had run inside, according to Prague Public Transit spokesperson Aneta Řehková. The dog did not survive.

The incident occurred just before 2 p.m. at Černý Most station on line B. Replacement tram line XB was deployed, and several other tram and bus lines were adjusted to serve affected areas. Full metro service resumed around 2:45 p.m.
