A large fire broke out at a plastic waste dump near the town of Rynholec, located about 31 kilometers west of Prague. The blaze, covering roughly 200 by 200 meters with piles up to five meters high, has produced thick smoke visible from a distance. Residents in Prague have reported seeing the smoke on the horizon.
Thirteen professional and volunteer fire units are currently at the scene, and a second-level alert has been declared due to the scale and intensity of the fire.
