Morning fire destroys motorcycle service workshop

Five firefighting units responded to a fire at a motorcycle repair and storage workshop located beneath the vestibule of the Holešovice railway station in Prague. The fire has since been extinguished. One person was injured and taken into the care of emergency medical services.

According to Prague Fire Brigade spokesperson Miroslav Řezáč, the incident did not affect public transport in the area—tram, metro, and bus operations continued normally. The cause and estimated damage are still under investigation.

A 40-year-old man suffered first- and second-degree burns to his face and hands. He was treated on-site and transported to the hospital by paramedics, said Karel Kirs, spokesperson for Prague EMS.

The fire also prompted a self-evacuation from the area, but no further injuries were reported.
