Police are investigating coordinated graffiti attack on metro train

Police are searching for a group of eleven masked vandals who spray-painted three metro cars at Rajská Zahrada station on Saturday morning. Police say the damage exceeds CZK 100,000.

The group rushed onto the platform, forced the doors of three train cars shut after passengers disembarked, and covered the cars in graffiti. Within two minutes, they fled into the metro tunnel toward Černý Most as police arrived, prompting a two-hour suspension of service and a large-scale search.

No suspects were apprehended at the scene. Investigators published a CCTV footage and are appealing to the public for help identifying those involved. Witnesses or anyone with original video recordings are urged to contact the police via the emergency line 158.

The suspects could face charges of criminal damage, which carries a sentence of up to one year in prison.
