Police are investigating a violent incident that took place on March 28 around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Radlická Street and U Tyršovy školy in Prague. After stopping at a red light, a driver attacked another driver with a baseball bat, causing serious injuries to his head and face. The victim was operating a grocery delivery van. The assault was stopped by an off-duty police officer, who intervened and detained both individuals until a patrol arrived.
Investigators are now appealing to the driver of a light-colored SUV—possibly a Hyundai Santa Fe—who was directly in front of the scene and likely witnessed the entire event unfold. Policemen are also asking for any dashcam footage from passing vehicles that may have captured the incident.
The case is being investigated as attempted grievous bodily harm.
