Firefighters from Modřany, Krč, Radotín, and the volunteer unit from Cholupice responded to a fire in a second-floor apartment on Na Komořsku Street in Prague 12 around 3:30 a.m.
The apartment was fully engulfed when crews arrived. Firefighters extinguished the flames with a single water jet, ventilated the building, and used thermal imaging to check for remaining hot spots.
Approximately 43 residents were evacuated as a precaution. No injuries were reported.
A scared but unharmed cat was found inside the apartment and rescued from the building, according to the Fire brigade.
