A collision between a tram and a passenger car disrupted traffic Tuesday morning in Prague’s Strašnice district. The crash occurred around 8 a.m. at the intersection of V Olšinách and V Předpolí streets.
Firefighters and emergency medical services responded to the scene. According to Prague Fire and Rescue, two people were treated by paramedics from ZZS HMP. The severity of their injuries was not immediately disclosed.
The accident brought tram traffic to a halt in both directions. Lines 7, 19, and 22 were rerouted while responders worked to clear the scene.
By 8:35 a.m., emergency crews had removed the damaged vehicles and tram service was restored. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
