Fire crews from the Central Bohemian Region responded on Monday to a barn fire in the village of Petříkov (Prague-East), where hay stored inside the structure caught fire. Due to the intensity of the blaze, authorities declared a second-level fire alarm.
Special equipment from the Fire Rescue Service’s emergency unit was requested to assist with dismantling parts of the structure and removing the stored hay. A pumping station was set up at a nearby pond to ensure a steady water supply.
The operation is ongoing. No injuries have been reported so far.
