A traffic safety operation at Václav Havel Airport in Prague on Wednesday, May 28, revealed dozens of violations. More than 100 people and vehicles underwent checks during the daylong event, held from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The operation involved several agencies, including airport protection units from the Foreign Police Inspectorate at Prague – Ruzyně International Airport, Prague municipal police (including the specialized Taxi Team), Prague 1 Traffic Inspectorate officers, and officials from Prague City Hall responsible for overseeing road transportation.
Authorities issued 31 fines totaling CZK 17,000, primarily for illegal stopping and parking at public transit stops, disrupting traffic safety, notably affecting trolleybus services.
Inspections of taxi drivers uncovered serious violations, resulting in an additional 26 fines amounting to CZK 162,900. Officials also confiscated one taxi driver’s license, initiated proceedings against two transportation companies, and identified one driver illegally transporting foreign clients without a valid license or necessary documentation.
Authorities stated similar coordinated actions will continue.
