Prague police are searching for a unknown man suspected of stealing a handgun and personal belongings from a parked vehicle in Ďáblice at the turn of April and May.
Released surveillance footage captured the man entering the car under cover of darkness. Authorities believe he opened the door by an unknown method before rummaging through the vehicle and taking the items.
Among the stolen property was a short-barrelled firearm along with ammunition, according to police spokesperson Jan Rybanský.
Investigators have not ruled out the possibility that the suspect may be dangerous, and are urging the public not to approach him.
Police have released images from security cameras and are asking anyone who can identify the man or knows his whereabouts to call the emergency line 158.
The investigation is ongoing.
