A serious traffic accident involving multiple vehicles shut down the D10 motorway near Mladá Boleslav. According to emergency services, the crash occurred at around 15:46 at the 23.5-kilometre mark in the direction of Turnov.
The Central Bohemian Fire and Rescue Service reported that several passenger cars were involved, and two people had to be extricated from their vehicles. A total of five individuals sustained injuries and were transferred to medical care.
The regional emergency medical service confirmed that two of the injured were in serious condition — one was flown by helicopter to the Central Military Hospital in Prague, while another was taken by ambulance to Bulovka Hospital.
Three others sustained moderate injuries and were transported to hospitals in Mladá Boleslav and Nymburk.
Firefighters carried out fire prevention measures and contained leaked operating fluids at the scene. Traffic on the D10 in the direction of Mladá Boleslav remains closed.
