Prague police are searching for a young woman who struck a pedestrian. The incident occurred on the morning of May 21st in Prague 6, on Podbabská Street near the Nádraží Podbaba tram stop, heading towards Vítězné náměstí.

According to police spokesperson Richard Hrdina, a 74-year-old woman was crossing at a pedestrian crossing with her young grandson when she was hit by a scooter driver who was reportedly riding in the designated bike lane. All three fell to the ground. Police say that the female scooter rider apologized and quickly rode off.
The injured pedestrian later sought medical help due to leg pain and was diagnosed with a fractured shinbone, which required surgery and hospitalization two days later.
Traffic investigators are appealing for witnesses, especially the driver of a white vehicle who was nearest at the time. The rider is described as a slim woman, aged 20–25, with shoulder-length blonde hair. Anyone with information is urged to contact the police via line 158.
If identified and convicted of causing serious bodily harm through negligence, the scooter rider could face up to four years in prison.
