Traffic on Povltavská Street in Prague 8 was disrupted on Saturday morning after a serious car accident occurred near the entrance to the Blanka tunnel in the direction of Prague 6.
Emergency services, including firefighters, police, and paramedics, were dispatched to the scene. A car ended up overturned on its side, blocking the road. According to police reports, the entrance to the tunnel was fully closed around 10:15 a.m. to allow rescue operations, and traffic was diverted. Only one lane remained passable, leading to long queues.
By 10:43 a.m., authorities confirmed that the damaged vehicle had been removed and normal traffic resumed. No further details on possible injuries have been released at this stage.
