Police detained an aggressive man carrying a weapon on the streets of Jižní Město on the last Sunday of July. According to police spokesperson Jan Daněk, the man had walked around with a gun in his hand, behaved aggressively and even fired several shots.
Rapid response units and special police teams were dispatched to the area, where they located and arrested the suspect using coercive measures. Officers reported that the man, who was under the influence of alcohol, had a BB gun loaded with metal pellets and more than ten grams of marijuana.
Investigators later found that he allegedly threatened to kill another person, fired several shots at the victim and hit him in the buttocks. One of the shots also damaged a window. He is now facing charges of disorderly conduct, dangerous threats and drug possession. If convicted, he could face up to three years in prison.
