Police in Prague are searching for a 40-year-old man who, police say, escaped from a medical facility in Bohnice on Saturday afternoon. According to a statement from the regional police directorate, the man was ordered by a court to undergo compulsory treatment for drug addiction.

He reportedly jumped out of a first-floor window shortly after 1 p.m. and fled in an unknown direction. Police described him as potentially dangerous due to paranoia, hallucinations and a disturbed sense of reality. Last year, he was convicted of threatening someone with a knife.
The man is around 160 centimetres tall, slim, with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing dark trousers, a light blue shirt, a dark blue jacket and a red cap that was dirty. Police urged the public not to try to detain him and to call 158 immediately with any sightings.
