According to fire service spokesperson Miroslav Řezáč, the blaze affected one room in the apartment and was extinguished using a single water jet from an aerial ladder. Firefighters rescued ten people from the building and evacuated another twelve as a precaution.
Emergency crews treated five people on site. Four were released after examination, while one woman was transported to hospital. Paramedics deployed multiple units, including a doctor and a large-capacity vehicle.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, authorities said. Hlavní Street was closed in both directions during the operation, with police diverting traffic.
