Prague police issue appeal for wanted man after robbery

Prague police are searching for a man wanted in connection with a robbery, according to a statement released on Tuesday. Authorities said a warrant for his arrest was issued by the District State Prosecutor’s Office for Prague 9.

Despite checking multiple locations and repeatedly visiting his registered residence, officers have so far failed to track him down. According to police, the man may have changed his appearance after the robbery, including shaving off his facial hair.

Investigators warned that the suspect, a repeat offender with several convictions for property crimes, could be armed with an illegally held firearm and may pose a risk to those around him. He is currently serving a suspended sentence for property offenses, valid until the end of November.

Police urged anyone who sees the man to immediately call 158, and cautioned the public not to attempt to detain him.
