Seven people were injured Tuesday afternoon in the Letňany district of Prague after a city bus veered off course on Fryčovická Street in Prague 9. Initial reports from emergency services suggest the accident occurred after the driver suffered a sudden medical emergency at the wheel.

Prague police and rescue teams arrived at the scene shortly after the crash to find the bus halted and several passengers in need of assistance. According to the Prague Medical Rescue Service (ZZS HMP), the response included three ambulance crews and specialized physician units.
The rescue service confirmed that seven individuals, including the driver, were treated on-site. Most passengers sustained what officials described as light injuries, primarily head trauma and bruising. Following initial stabilization, all seven were transported to local trauma centers for further examination.
Traffic in the Letňany area remained restricted for several hours as investigators worked to clear the wreckage and determine the exact cause of the driver’s collapse. While the police have not yet released the driver’s condition, the investigation is currently focusing on the medical episode as the primary factor in the collision.
