Two riders injured in head-on motorcycle collision in Krč

Police are investigating a serious motorcycle collision in Prague’s Krč district that left two riders injured and caused an estimated 250,000 CZK in damage.

According to Prague police, the crash occurred shortly before 7 p.m. on June 2 on Vídeňská Street, between K Zeleným domkům and Jalodvorská streets. For reasons that remain unclear, a 48-year-old motorcyclist collided head-on with a 47-year-old rider travelling on another motorcycle.

The impact threw both motorcycles from the roadway and injured both men. Emergency medical crews treated the riders at the scene before transporting them for further care. Police said the men suffered bruises, concussions and serious limb fractures.

Investigators have not yet determined what caused the collision or who may have been responsible. The total damage has been preliminarily estimated at around CZK 250,000.

Police are now appealing for witnesses who saw the crash or the events leading up to it. They are also seeking dashcam footage that may have captured the collision or the moments before it occurred.
