A large fire damaged a warehouse in Prague’s Písnice area on Tuesday evening, prompting authorities to declare the third level of the fire alarm system because of the number of responding units.

According to the Prague Fire Brigade and emergency authorities, the fire engulfed a warehouse measuring approximately 30 by 30 metres in the Pramenná Street industrial area in Prague 4. The building housed furniture storage and an auto repair workshop.
Firefighters later brought the blaze under control and began reducing the number of crews at the scene. Overhaul operations continued to extinguish remaining hotspots.
Authorities said no one was injured and no evacuations were necessary. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage were not immediately disclosed.
