Prague traffic police are appealing for witnesses as they investigate a fatal motorcycle crash that claimed the life of a 16-year-old rider on Thursday morning.
The crash happened shortly after 8 a.m. on July 16, when the teenager was riding from the D6 motorway onto Karlovarská Street. According to Prague Police, the motorcycle struck roadside barriers, and the rider died at the scene from his injuries.
Investigators said they are working to establish the exact cause and circumstances of the crash. They are particularly looking to speak with the occupants of a white van that was travelling behind the motorcycle and may have witnessed the incident. Police believe the vehicle’s occupants could provide information that would help clarify what happened.
Anyone who saw the crash or has relevant information is asked to contact the Czech police on emergency line 158. The appeal was issued by Prague Police spokesperson Richard Hrdina.
